EXECUTIVE PASTRY CHEF
Chef Gottfried Schuetzenberger has been the Executive Pastry Chef at Grand Hyatt Singapore since 1985. Originally from Koenigswiesen, Austria, Gottfried started his career in the hospitality industry in Austria before moving to Germany in 1980 after obtaining a Masters in Pastry. Prior to Singapore, Gottfried was the Pastry Chef at Grand Hyatt Seoul, Korea. His work has led him to travel to over 23 different countries including Egypt, India, Australia, China and Latin America.
Having received numerous awards including a Silver Cross of Merit of the Republic of Austria (Das Silberne Verdienstzeichen Der Republik Oesterereich) and most recently, the Lifetime Achievement Award at this year’s World Gourmet Summit (WGS) Awards of Excellence, he remains modest about his achievements and displays a deep affection for his work. “I am very pleased to work with the creative pastry team at Grand Hyatt Singapore for more then 30 years and look forward to creating new ideas and products for the hotel,” said Chef Gottfried.
