Chief Bartender Kumar
In his role as chief bartender of the martini bar at mezza9, Kumar combines both creativity and technique as he creates exciting cocktails from requests made on the spot. His signature cocktail is the seafood martini, whereby actual oysters and prawns are used.
In addition to serving royalties and celebrities, he has also had the privilege of visiting various Hyatt properties around the world to create special martinis based on the local culture. Some of his creations include the Chai martini for the Hyatt Regency Kolkata as well as the Espresso Martini for Park Hyatt Saigon. Despite his achievements, he is not one to rest on his laurels as he is always learning and looking to improve his techniques to create the perfect martini.
